45 Words: Laziness and Limited Literacy in Horny Men
I counted them. 45 words. That’s how many words My FetLife profile has. Fewer than 50 words, and 99.9% of the men who message Me clearly don’t read a single one of them. Be warned: this writing is more than 45 words, so if you can’t handle that, this is your sign to leave.
How can I tell these men didn’t read any of the 45 words I carefully curated specifically for the enormously illiterate population of horny men with which FetLife is cursed? For one, it’s a LOT easier to spot AI and copy-paste messages than they think. It’s extremely easy to see a lack of effort in a message, especially when everything is generic or the wrong honorific is used. It’s not even just Fet. It’s everywhere.
Secondly, 99.9% of the men who message Me have no reason to do so. Why? Because they could easily comment their thoughts or compliments instead. A comment or compliment does not equal the right to a conversation, especially with a professional. I say in My bio that casual messages are ignored, and yet men slide into My requests constantly. If they have a session-related question, they should go to My website…again, as My bio states…then email Me if the answer to their question is nowhere on My site. It’s clear I’m a professional with limited, valuable time and I’m not here to casually chat.
I put months of work into My website. I list it prominently on My profile because I worked so hard on it, and because that’s where most relevant information is. But no one can be bothered to click a link and read what I’ve actually already written before asking redundant questions. And if you still have questions after reading My entire profile and website, your next move should be a professionally written email, not a FetLife DM.
On top of entitled, these attention hogs are also incredibly egocentric. In addition to expecting every bit of labor and research and homework and vetting to be done for them, the entire conversation revolves around them and what they want. They are merely greedy bottoms deluded into thinking they’re submissives. They are laser-focused on their own kinks and fetishes. They don’t actually care about what I want.
A lot of “submissive” guys or male bottoms make the mistake of thinking they can’t be misogynistic because they like serving Women in a kinky sense, and that could not be further from the truth. What I’ve learned from My near-decade in this industry and lifestyle is that “subby” men can dehumanize Women just as much as any other man. It just presents differently and, like most men who dehumanize Women, they’re in denial about doing anything wrong at all, so they behave like they’re the victim.
