Feeling Nervous? Here's What to Expect in Your First Dominatrix Session

Why Book a Domination Session?

First, let’s discuss why domination sessions have been a thing for so long. There are so many reasons someone might seek out professional domination, like the many benefits of exploring kinks and power exchange with a trained professional, the inexplicable draw to a particular Domme, or the allure of surrendering completely to someone and turning off the hard-working parts of your brain for a while.

One common through-line, regardless of the main reason for booking, is that they are usually craving a memorable experience. Even the most selfless service submissives take their mental snapshots for later, whether they admit it or not. Another commonality is that clients who book professional domination sessions prioritize pleasure, whether it’s their own or the pleasure of the Pro Domme they’re seeing.

These people understand that pleasure is something that holds considerable value for us as humans, especially when building resilience and coping with turbulent times in the external world. That said, it’s important to remember that, while BDSM can be therapeutic, it should be supplementary to mental healthcare, not a replacement for it. An individual Domme may be a licensed as a therapist, and what She chooses to do with that in Her domination is up to Her, but it should never be expected that any Dominatrix should be your therapist.

How Can I Have a Memorable Session?

The most important things you can do to ensure a memorable experience for everyone involved are to first understand why you’re reaching out, then read any relevant materials thoroughly, and put effort and detail into your session application. It’s much more fun to plan scenes when there’s a lot to work with, and your application can be rejected or ignored if it doesn’t adequately inform the Domme.

Every Domme’s practices and protocols differ, but you will likely confirm the booking in some way and confirm your application details, like your kinks, limits, any requests. Most Dominatrices also require a deposit to reserve your time. A responsible Pro Domme always uses safe words and signals/gestures.

What Happens in the Session?

That comes down to the Domme you book with, Her protocols, and, of course, your own thorough application. Keep in mind that some fetishes and kinks you include can be more of a wish list depending on the Domme, Her own interests and limits, the amount of time you request, the space or equipment available, and your overall approach.

After negotiation confirmation, I personally start My sessions with a ritual that helps the client more easily enter into a submissive state. For Me, that includes the removal of their clothing while I stay fully clothed. Though these kinds of rituals are common, Dommes may not start with the same ritual every time, and some Dommes may prefer to start sessions without ritual at all because they find it more fun.

Beyond the initial submission ritual, if there is one, the world is Her oyster! Your Domme may decide to indulge in your little fantasies, She may incorporate them here and there, or She may choose to make you do what She wants without touching on your personal list of interests at all. This is Her domain now.

This is where it’s important to know what you’re looking for, and to know about the Domme you’re booking with beyond what She looks like. Comment below if you’d like to see Me write about what green flags to look for in a Professional Dominatrix.
